Earlier this week, upcoming restaurant Homage Bistro announced that it would no longer be opening in the Ten Tables space in Cambridge. Last night, a tweet from the Ten Tables account clarified the fate of the space: "Proprietor Krista Kranyak decides not 2 sell Camb location. TTCamb, HERE TO STAY & is proud of continued & ongoing success in a gr8 hood!" The restaurant is seeking to hire a few new people, reports Boston Restaurant Talk. It's unclear whether Kranyak still intends to work on expanding her other brand, Grass Fed, to more locations.
Meanwhile, Homage Bistro is seeking suggestions for where to look. "We still want to move ahead and will do so once the perfect location for Homage Bistro presents itself," notes the future restaurant on Facebook. "What town, city or square do you think is lacking a great farm to fork bistro?"
UPDATE: More from Kranyak on the decision to keep Ten Tables open in Cambridge: "After careful consideration and reevaluation of my business opportunities, keeping Ten Tables Cambridge made the most sense. (1) It's a successful restaurant that is valued by my employees and the neighborhood alike. Once it became apparent that it might no longer be part of my restaurant group, I realized that growing each "franchise" is not a mutually exclusive event. (2) I still remain highly motivated to grow the Grass Fed concept and consider keeping both concepts (Ten Tables along with Grass Fed) as a challenge that I embrace. (3) Right now, my intent is to maintain the quality standards at the Ten and continue to be successful neighborhood bistros."
