Acqua Seafood and Grill (which has also appeared as "Aqua" in some licensing documents) appears to be headed for a June opening, according to a Boston Herald article that discusses an unnamed seafood restaurant closely matching the known information about Acqua, the Frank DePasquale project taking over the Ida's space on Mechanic Court. The patio (previously reported to seat 48) will "sit above the entrance to the Sumner Tunnel," according to the Herald, which should provide some interesting sights. Earlier this week, the North End/Waterfront Neighborhood Council unanimously voted to support DePasquale's proposal to use one of the seven apartments in the building to create bathrooms and more restaurant seating.
