It's the official opening day for Parla, although the new North End restaurant offered a couple of sneak peeks yesterday and the day before. The space is reportedly tiny and elaborately decorated, offering lots of whiskey, "hidden cocktails," and "clandestine food specials."
On the menu, there are small plates ($6-$9) ranging from braised oxtail arancini to venison meatballs. Pasta dishes and entrees ($19-$27) include options like lamb leg fettuccine, striped bass cartoccio, and monkfish osso bucco.
On Facebook, the restaurant is described as a "curious dining experience," and executive chef Eric Buonagurio has previously worked at Jason Santos' three spots, Back Bay Harry's, Abby Lane, and Blue Inc. Parla is open from 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. daily.
