State Park, the Kendall Square newcomer from the Hungry Mother team, is "taking 'so bad it's good' to new heights," writes Donna Garlough for The Improper Bostonian. "When did lowbrow become so haute?" she wonders, considering the "mid-'80s roller-rink menu" influence at State Park and other spots of the same breed. Her musing carries a mixed connotation, playfully mocking while also finding a number of successful aspects of the place. Try the Memphis BBQ spaghetti, the Luxardo cherry float, or the fried chicken. [TIB]
