Parla, a "curious dining experience," officially opens to the public at 4 p.m. this Wednesday, April 14. The space was previously a restaurant called Il Villaggio, reportedly involving at least some of the same people, but it's undergone a total renovation, physically and conceptually. NorthEndWaterfront.com's Matt Conti shares a few photos of the space, as well as the menu, which includes small plates like beef tongue bruschetta and braised oxtail arancini, along with entrees like tripe in a spicy tomato sauce and a prosciutto-wrapped chicken breast. "Vegetarian dishes available upon request," notes the menu — directly above a picture of pig. Executive chef Eric Buonagurio is an alum of the Jason Santos trio: Back Bay Harry's, Abby Lane, and Blue Inc.
