Not much has been heard about the Prospect Lounge project — a restaurant and music venue from the owners of Patty Chen's Dumpling Room — for quite some time, but yesterday, a flurry of Facebook activity hinted that things are finally moving forward. On April 12, co-owner Marc Shulman replied to an old post from someone offering some help to say that they just "got the green light" on the project, and a new rendering and description of the place was posted yesterday. Shulman and his wife and business partner Patty Chen also owned a Central Square music venue called All Asia, which they closed in order to create Prospect Lounge.
It will be a "complete sensory experience," according to the post, "electrifying Central Square's organic dining scene by striking a balance between the desire for healthy living and living on the edge." Also promised: local and national acts playing Sunday through Thursday and a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights. The space will fit 300 people, and there will be 100 seats for lunch through late-night dining (plus weekend brunch) on small plates that are "local, organic, and seasonal."
