Pappy Meals at Citizen Public House; WOW Wings

New, 1 comment

HARVARD SQUARE — The Cambridge Historical Society (with sponsorship from Shake Shack, interestingly) is hosting a walking tour of "the dearly departed restaurants of Harvard Square," and there will even be some "special guests" sharing "tales of working in these establishments." Tours are tomorrow (Saturday, April 12) at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., and tickets are $20 ($10 for members of the Historical Society). [Official Site]

FENWAY — Citizen Public House has been quietly hoarding one of the world's best (and hardest-to-get) whiskeys, Pappy Van Winkle, for three years now, and the restaurant will begin to release limited amounts this Monday, April 14, and on subsequent Mondays, as part of "Pappy Meals" that cost around $30-90 depending on the age of that particular pour. Also in the meal: pickles, jerky, and other surprises (including a toy). [BM]

HUB-WIDE — WOW Barbecue, a food truck that until now has been focusing solely on skewers of various grilled things, is now selling wings as well, "after 6 months of R&D." The truck also appears to have a brick & mortar location on the way, possibly in Malden. [FB]
