2014 is the year of ramen — and pastry hybrids. Playing off of the cronut craze, Boston-based bakery/cafe chain Au Bon Pain is launching a CroisBun with the new spring menu this Monday, March 10. "We're proud to mix the deliciousness of a flaky croissant and sweet buttery bun," declares a press release. Welcome to the future.
The muffin-shaped CroisBun (CroisBunFin?) is filled with either sweet cheese alone or sweet cheese and strawberry, and it breaks into three pieces for those who want to share. For a limited time, interested diners can grab two CroisBuns for $4.
