New Barbecue Spot to Open Across from North Station

A new barbecue restaurant, tentatively called Causeway BBQ, will open in the former Penalty Box space across from North Station, according to a tipster. This appears to match up with licensing documents from the fall, which indicated that an establishment called Causeway was planning to take over the space.

The tipster notes that the restaurant could open in late April or early May, and the "kitchen manager/pit boss" will be someone familiar to barbecue fans in the Boston area. Eater has reached out to said "pit boss" for confirmation of his involvement in the project; stay tuned for more.
