The Globe's Devra First provides a "Quick Bite" of the new Legal Crossing, finding it to be a "semi-Legal experience" — "more of a sleek, modern nightspot" than the "family-friendly" regular Legal Sea Foods. There are "stripper and Chinatown references that will amuse some and offend others" on the cocktail list, which pays homage to the history of Downtown Crossing, and the food "depart[s] from Legal classics" with options like paprika-tinged whole shrimp with chickpeas and Chinese sausage, hoisin-glazed salmon with pad thai-style noodles, and a crab cake with asparagus, pancetta, and mustard hollandaise.
