"Organic, farm-to-table" salad chain sweetgreen, which is based in Washington, DC, opened its first Boston location last June in Back Bay. Its second Boston outpost opens this week in Fort Point; the 44-seat space is connected to the Residence Inn Downtown Marriott. A rep for the chain tells Eater that sweetgreen will soft-open this Wednesday, April 2, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. It'll be "pay what you want," with all proceeds benefiting Mass Farmers Markets. Thursday, April 3, is the official opening date with regular hours, 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Here's a look at the current Back Bay menu for an idea of what to expect. Additionally, a chalkboard "Local List" will let diners know which area farms are being featured at any given time, as ingredients are sourced locally when possible. The opening Fort Point menu, for example, will showcase fruit from Ward's Berry Farm in Sharon.
