Now that Tenoch is serving up tortas and garnachas in the North End, the floodgates have opened and a second Mexican restaurant could be on the way to the predominantly Italian cuisine-filled neighborhood. Frank Scire, who appears to own a fruit wholesale business on Salem Street, wants to take over the nearby Ferrara's and turn it into Urban Cantina, reports Boston Restaurant Talk, citing a licensing agenda posted on NorthEndWaterfront.com. Scire would keep the layout and hours the same but change the menu over to Mexican food.
