The DIG's Dan McCarthy visited Merrill & Co. after it has been open "barely a week" and provides an early review, having enjoyed the "decadent and approachable" menu and the "general yesteryear-diner-meets-neighborhood-hangout spirit." McCarthy also notes that there were 13 beards seen around 7:30 p.m., and four of the wearers of beards were drinking cans of craft beer. There were also seven plaid shirts spotted, although it's unclear if they were on bearded or unbearded diners and whether or not cans of craft beer were involved. [DIG]
