Gefilte Shrimp, Cholent, and Helzel at Tres Gatos

Tres Gatos line cook Jarred Randall wants to "reset people's expectations on Jewish cuisine" and "show them it's more refined than just deli food." To that end, he has created a pop-up called Fatboy Secrets focused on "modernized non-kosher Jewish cuisine, providing Jewish flavors and delivering them in an unexpected form."

Randall's upcoming event is at his home base, Tres Gatos, on Tuesday, February 25th. The six-course meal is $50 (add $35 for an optional wine pairing), and reservations are strongly recommended but not required. Call (617) 477-4851. Here's a look at the menu, from beitza to krupnik.
