Precinct, a Union Square bar and music venue, is closing for the month for renovations, Boston Restaurant Talk reports. Over the summer, a rumor started spreading that Precinct was killing off its live music program in favor of building a better dining room and focusing more on food, but several employees denied it. Now, it's unclear whether the renovations will indeed include the loss of the stage in the back room and the busy live music schedule.
A post on Facebook about the temporary closure states that the restaurant is "committed to enhancing our Food, Drink, and overall guest experience," and there's no mention of music. Stay tuned for a reopening date and more information.
