A restaurant called The Ames Street Deli could be headed for — wait for it — Ames Street (in Cambridge's Kendall Square), Boston Restaurant Talk reports via a licensing hearing agenda. The agenda reveals only that the restaurant would have a seating capacity of 142 and hopes to get a full liquor license.
Boston Restaurant Talk notes that the manager, Joseph Cammarata, has the same name as a bartender at backbar in Union Square. Indeed, it seems likely that it's the same person, as backbar co-owner Tse Wei Lim is also listed as a member of the LLC behind the upcoming deli in a public notice. The notice also indicates that the restaurant will be on the ground floor of the multi-story building at 73-75 Ames St. with more than 3600 square feet of space, plus a 1365-square-foot mezzanine.
