The Shawarma Place Has Replaced Wing Works in Davis

Folks in Davis Square will have to find wings somewhere else; Wing Works has been replaced by a shawarma place called The Shawarma Place. According to the signage, the new restaurant also serves falafel, kebabs, hummus, and wraps. A Chowhound poster notes that the owner used to run Moody's Falafel Palace in Central Square.

In its first few days, The Shawarma Place has earned the five-star love of all six of its first Yelp reviewers, including a self-proclaimed Middle Eastern food "expert" who says that the shawarma is the best he's had, "hands down." (Two others agree that it is the "best.") Another user notes that there are also soups, salads, and lots of vegetarian options on the menu.
