INMAN SQUARE — Hops N Scotch is indeed looking to expand to Inman Square, as previously hinted at. Boston Restaurant Talk finds that the Coolidge Corner-based restaurant is seeking to buy Haveli's Restaurant's liquor license and apparently take over the space. As the name suggests, Hops N Scotch has a strong focus on scotch. [BRT]
AT A MYSTERY MASSACHUSETTS FIVE GUYS — Ah, the old "don't CC the person about whom you're emailing bad things." The district manager of a local Five Guys franchise is probably feeling a little embarrassed after complaining about a customer to a colleague...while copying the customer on the email that read, in part: "What a complete asshole. I'm speechless over this douche. All of this over missing fries. Fuck him and his tool office mates." [Consumerist via UHub]
LEATHER DISTRICT — This Monday at precisely 8:08pm at a secret loft in the Leather District, sous chefs will battle, guests will wear red or gray, there will be caricatures drawn, and other shenanigans will occur. Tickets are $100 for the "Top Secret Top Chef" event, which aims to raise awareness for Vitamin Angels, an organization that helps at-risk populations get access to vitamins. [Fundraise.com]
