The Boston Redevelopment Authority has wanted so badly to put a restaurant, Doc's Long Wharf, on the end of Long Wharf for at least five years now, but nearby residents keep blocking the plan. Now, a map pulled from the National Park Service archives shows that the area is a protected space, meant to always be open to the public (as in not being covered by a restaurant).
