In April, Kristen Kish will leave her post as chef de cuisine at Menton to "pursue other opportunities," according to a press release. No. 9 Park chef de cuisine Scott Jones will move to Menton to take her place. He began at No. 9 in 2009 and quickly worked his way up through the ranks.
"While at No.9 Park, Scott has demonstrated not only an incredible creativity in the kitchen — the food has never looked or tasted so amazing — but the ability to lead and inspire an entire line of cooks is no small feat," said Lynch, via the press release. "I have no doubt that Scott will shine at Menton, ensuring that the fine dining experience at a Relais & Chateaux property remains exciting, innovative, and, of course, delicious. I am looking forward to working with him at Menton."
No word yet on what's in store next for Kish. "It has been an incredible honor and privilege to have been part of the Menton family," she said, via the press release. "Barbara has and will continue to be a great mentor to me. I look forward to our lasting friendship and exploring new possibilities."
UPDATE: "A bittersweet departure from Menton in March," Kish posted to Twitter this afternoon, "but excited for the future!" She also told Ryan Sutton of Bloomberg that the decision was made recently and "fine dining is still where [her] passion is."
