DooWee & Rice Pops Up; Miller OUT at Bondir

POWDER HOUSE CIRCLE — DooWee & Rice is popping back up temporarily in its old location in Somerville while renovations are completed at the new space at Wonder Bar in Allston. Available for eating: a "familiar menu and a few new items." For now, the plan is to be open Wednesdays through Fridays from 3pm to 9pm, but updates will be posted on Facebook. It'll probably last less than a month and starts next week — February 19th. [Boston.com/FB]

CONCORD — Bondir Concord sous chef Rachel Miller has left her post and tells Zagat that it's "just bad timing" that it happened to be when the 2.5-star Globe review is being talked about so much. She left to "explore other opportunities. In other news, Miller is really into cooking with crickets that she raises herself. [Zagat]

UNION SQUARE — Things aren't looking good for one of Somerville's newest music venues, Radio, which closed temporarily in November thanks to water damage from sprinklers set off by a small fire. The club's liquor license is in high demand and has to be sold by next month's licensing commission meeting or it will be revoked. Either way, the club would be left without a license upon reopening, and they're certainly not easy to come by. [Vanyaland]
