Ames Street Deli is now open, and its sibling and neighbor, Study, is not far behind. (Both come from the team behind Journeyman and Backbar in Somerville's Union Square. They apparently like to build their empire in sets of two.) According to Study's Facebook page, a friends & family dinner has already been held, and Boston Restaurant Talk reports that the official opening will be at some point next week.
Also revealed on Facebook: a cheese cart. It'll be available at every dinner service, serving up options from near and far. An earlier press release, which described the restaurant as "elegant and lovely," also mentioned a lunchtime dessert cart.
UPDATE: Study opens to the public this very day, Monday, December 8, and here's a sample menu. (The actual menu will change daily and will be posted on the restaurant's website.) Dinner seatings are available from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. six days a week (closed Sunday).
