6th Gear to Open in Wolfie's and Sauce Trattoria Space

81 L Street in South Boston was home to the short-lived Wolfie's Kitchen and Bar, which was then briefly reincarnated as Sauce Trattoria. The latter closed in August 2013. Now, according to information on a licensing hearing agenda, it appears that a new restaurant called 6th Gear is slated to open in that space.

Wolfie's and Sauce held a wine, malt, and liqueur license, which the owners are seeking to transfer to the new business. 6th Gear would include a 10-seat bar and close at 1 a.m., if the licensing commission approves.
