Forge Baking Company, the new little sibling to Diesel and Bloc 11, opened in early November and has been ramping up to full hours and a full menu since then. Starting this coming Monday, December 8, the ramp-up will be complete, and it'll be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. seven days a week, according to a Facebook post.
Forge is located on Somerville Avenue, not far from Porter Square, in the strip mall that used to house the Seabra market. Chow n' Joy, an under-the-radar takeout joint with some solid Chinese-American offerings, is located in the same spot.
Like its sibling cafes, Forge offers a variety of baked goods, sandwiches, soups, salads, and hot and cold drinks.
