Discover Fried Meatballs and Spicy Honey-Topped Pizza at Panelli's

Panelli's Pizza & Parm is now open in Brookline.

In Brooklyn, the condiment game is strong. Mike's Hot Honey pairs sweet with spicy, and it tends to pop up in various New York City dishes, like the sopressata and honey Hellboy pizza at Paulie Gee's. But what does this have to do with Brookline?

You can now discover the joys of Mike's Hot Honey, sopressata, and pizza together right in Brookline at the newly opened Panelli's Pizza & Parm, which debuted just after Thanksgiving. Also on the menu: various "parm" sandwiches, included a fried meatball parm, as well as salads, fried oreos, and a bunch of other pizzas.

"We use a deck oven," owner David Iknaian told Boston Magazine, "so what I tell people is that our pizza is kind of like a New York-style pizza combined with Neapolitan and New Haven coal-fired pizza."

The restaurant is open seven days a week: 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
