Get Your Fill of The Blue Room's Brunch Before It Goes Away

The Blue Room's longtime Sunday brunch, a buffet of gluttony and glory, has been a Kendall Square staple for years. Now, its days are numbered. A rep for the restaurant confirms that The Blue Room's brunch will be discontinued "early in the new year," although there's a light at the end of the soon-to-be-brunchless tunnel: Belly, The Blue Room's sister and next-door neighbor, "will take over with its own twist on brunch."

No word yet on the exact timing of the switch, so head over to The Blue Room in these waning days of 2014 to say your goodbyes. Brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and costs $27 per person ($13 for kids 12 and under). While the menu changes seasonally, here are some sample dishes that tend to appear, from ratatouille provencale to biscuits and sausage gravy.

UPDATE: The last Blue Room brunch will take place on January 25, 2015, and Belly brunch is tentatively set to begin on February 8.
