It's soft opening night for Stage Nightclub, according to a Facebook post, which notes that there will be "a great sampling of the show ready" to be seen. Located in the alley off of Boylston Street, right by Emerson, the new spot aims to be an "American vaudeville nightclub." The Brahmin team is behind it.
"The design and decor will be luxurious and classic to resemble the 1900-1930s era specific vibe," according to the Facebook page, which also indicates that Stage will actually have multiple stages. Performers of all kinds have been auditioning over the past several months.
The venue's website promises a red carpet, velvet ropes, "executive hosts" in "dapper suits and top hats," a "glitzy lounge," and "classic craft cocktails." While there's "no formal dinner menu," there are some light snacks.
Stage will be open beginning at 8 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (except for tonight, when the doors don't open until 9 p.m.)
