It took a little longer than expected, but the new Felipe's Taqueria is finally here, now open in the former Harvard Square Bertucci's space, reports Boston Restaurant Talk. An Eater tipster, who describes the restaurant as "pretty awesome" with a "great" interior, notes that while food is being served, the bar isn't open yet.
Boston Magazine recently reported that the restaurant would have three floors (including a rooftop deck) as well as a 12-seat patio, plus a two-kitchen system to separate quick items like tacos and burritos from a more full-service experience (as well as catering). And most importantly, there will be a full bar.
The old Felipe's was located inside of The Garage, a Harvard Square building that houses a variety of stores and quick-service restaurants. That space was much smaller than the new one.
