When the Tres Gatos team took over beloved neighborhood restaurant Centre Street Cafe over the summer, they promised that after renovating and reopening it with a new concept, they would bring back the vastly popular weekend brunch without changing it up too much. The new Centre Street Cafe has now been open just over a month, featuring an Italian-inspired menu with plenty of homemade pasta, and it's almost time for the brunch to make a comeback.
"Coming soon!" promises the website, and a Facebook post today mentions that in preparation for brunch, an old Centre Street Cafe classic has just appeared on the lunch menu: huevos Mexicano (two fried eggs, smoked ham, black beans, crispy tortillas, spicy ranchero sauce, jack cheese, and avocado). Stay tuned for a launch date.
