SOMERVILLE — Bergamot is throwing a late-night Texas barbecue tonight, December 10, from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets are $20 and include live bluegrass "and all the Texas barbecue that your heart desires," according to a press release. On the menu: ABT (Atomic Buffalo Treats, which are brisket-stuffed, bacon-wrapped smoked jalapenos), hot links, beef ribs, hominy slaw, chili Frito pie, and "Texas truffles" (chocolate and bourbon). There will be a cash bar (stocked with plenty of Lone Star beer).
CHARLESTOWN — Downeast Cider is hosting an ugly sweater launch party for their winter blend this Saturday, December 13 at 8:30 p.m. An $18 ticket gets you a free drink, free cider donuts, and free "game beer," as long as you're wearing properly ugly attire.
DOWNTOWN CROSSING — Every Friday through December 26, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., a hot chocolate shop pops up in the Revere Hotel lobby, featuring Taza chocolate. Options include salted caramel crunch, s'mores, and cinnamon mocha peanut butter cup. The hot chocolate is free, but customers are encouraged to "pay-what-you-want," with proceeds benefitting The Home for Little Wanderers and the Boston chapter of the Animal Rescue League.
BACK BAY — Back Bay Harry's is hosting a "Justin Timberbrunch" this Sunday, December 14. The three-course champagne brunch includes Justin Timberlake songs and videos, a photo booth, and dishes with Timberlake-related words tacked on to the names (Sexyback bagel sliders, 'N Sync's Nutella bread pudding, etc.) Tickets are $35.
