Cilantro Chinese Cuisine has opened in Harvard Square, according to a smattering of Yelp reviews that have appeared over the last week. "This new restaurant is a hidden gem, literally!" writes one Yelper, noting that it's "tucked away in a little corner of the shopping plaza." She praises the "super friendly" staff and the ambiance, and she "highly recommend[s]" the Sichuan bubbling fish. Another Yelper enthuses about the "spectacular" food, the "good" portion sizes, and the "inexpensive" prices.
Here's a look at the menu, which includes plenty of standard American-Chinese classics (hello, pupu platter) as well as some more interesting options, like sauteed frog in chili sauce, Shanghai pork trotters, and chilled spicy pig ears. It's also one of the only places in Cambridge to get mini soup dumplings (see also: Dumpling House.)
Cilantro is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
