If you're one of the first 500 people to line up at the 235 Washington Street location of Dunkin' Donuts tomorrow morning, you can taste a "croissant donut," which is not a cronut knock-off, according to Dunkin' Donuts. The press release calls it "a delicate and flaky croissant ring that is glazed like a donut" (but not filled with cream, like a true cronut is) and sells for $2.49 — or $0 if you wake up early tomorrow. Will 500 people wait in line for a Dunkies "croissant donut"? At least one person will be there — a "loyal member" of the DD Perks loyalty program, who is one of a dozen across the country being "honored" with a croissant donut event this week.
