The Bigger, Better Felipe's Taqueria Is Almost Here

Remember the shuttered Bertucci's in Harvard Square? Soon you'll be able to go there for tacos, tequila, and a roof deck.

Renovations have taken over a year, but the new and improved Felipe's Taqueria is now on the verge of opening in the former Harvard Square Bertucci's space. November 21 is the current target, according to Boston Magazine, which also notes that there will be three floors (including a rooftop deck), a 12-seat patio, and two kitchens — one for the quick things, like tacos and burritos, and another for special events, catering, and the eventual full-service dining experience. Also, there'll be a full bar, once the license transfer is approved.

Felipe's was previously located nearby in The Garage, in a space less than half the size of the new one, and co-owner Tom Brush has been selling Felipe's food out of his other restaurant down the street, Flat Patties, in the interim between the old location closing and the new one opening.
