Back in May, it appeared that Somerville-based Boston Burger Company, which also has a Back Bay location, would add a third location on the edge of Harvard Square, taking over the Dolphin Seafood space. (Dolphin closed a couple months later.)
A Craigslist post from yesterday states that the company is now hiring "servers, bartenders, culinary geniuses, cooks, and experienced guest service prodigies" for a third site located at 1105 Massachusetts Avenue, which is indeed the address of the building that housed Dolphin Seafood. (A few weeks after the restaurant closed, its downstairs neighbor, Cancun Taqueria, also shuttered. Could a two-story Boston Burger Company be in the works?) The job posting doesn't indicate an opening timeline.
Boston Burger Company has a reputation for creating extreme burgers like "The King" (peanut butter, bacon, and fried bananas) and "The Killer Bee" (cheese, bacon, barbecue sauce, and a stack of onion rings). Also on the menu: fries, wings, salads, and more.
