Bred Gourmet to Open on Dorchester Avenue

A new gourmet burger spot will occupy the former Mrs. Jones space.

The new occupants of 2255 Dorchester Avenue in Dorchester's Lower Mills, former home of Southern-style Mrs. Jones, will be a burger spot called Bred Gourmet, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.

Owner Tambo Barrow told the Dorchester Reporter that he plans to serve "gourmet" burgers, as well as smoothies and salads, to a "health-conscious clientele" and could open as early as the middle of this December. He cites Maurice 'Big Mo' Lambert, owner of the much-loved M&M Ribs truck, as one of his food influences.

"Best f*cking burgers you'll ever have," promises the upcoming restaurant's Twitter account.
