SOUTH BOSTON — Round 3 of the No Kid Hungry fundraiser "Food Fights" to benefit Neighborhoods Battling to End Hunger takes place tonight at the Lincoln Tavern in Southie. Tonight's contestents: both heavyweights hailing from Somerville, MA, Bergamot vs. The Kirkland Tap & Trotter. Tickets for the event are $30 and include a tasting from each chef, signature cocktails, a Q&A with the contestant chefs, and a vote in the final decision.

DOWNTOWN — Boston Senior Home Care will celebrate 40 years of serving the Boston community next Tuesday, November 18, by hosting "A Taste of the Town." The event will be held at The Revere Hotel and will feature a cocktail reception, live and silent auction, and offerings from 10-15 of Boston's best restaurants. Tickets to the event are available on Eventbrite and go towards Boston Senior Home Care, which provides "care management services and programs to low-income elders and disabled individuals who wish to remain in their own homes and communities as safely and independently as possible."

DOWNTOWN — The first ever Dining Playbook Gala will be held November 15 at the Castle at Boston Park Plaza. The event will be hosted by NESN Dining Playbook Gala's Billy Costa and Jenny Johnson and will feature signature dishes from 30 area restaurants, including Stephanie's on Newbury, Modern Pastry, Citizen Public House, City Table, and many others. Three-time Boston Music Award winners Eye 2 Eye will perform, and a charity auction will be held to benefit Rosie's Place. Tickets are $125 and available through NESN.
