News popped up back in the spring that Pressed, a juice bar serving salads and paletas (popsicles), would open at 120 Charles Street in Beacon Hill. Pressed is now aiming for a fall opening, according to its Instagram account, and a recent post on Facebook promises that it's "so close."
A reader sends word that chef Joya Carlton of the "wildly popular" Butcher's Daughter in New York is designing the Pressed menu, which, in addition to juices, will feature vegan dishes. In a Butcher's Daughter review last year, the NY Daily News described Carlton as "a wizard of vegan cuisine, lovingly creating delicious dishes without using meat or dairy." A photo on the Pressed Instagram account previews one dish from the upcoming menu, a buckwheat soba noodle salad.
The space is being designed by New World Design Builders, who also designed Toro in New York.
