HustleCat, "a modern take on Southeast Asian street-food with a terroir-driven beverage program," according to its Twitter account, appears to be aiming to open a restaurant in 2015, but for now, you can catch the "two kickass females" behind it at pop-ups such as "Hustle on the Harbor," coming up on December 9.
The two kickass females in question are Alison Hearn (Steel & Rye, Myers + Chang, B&G Oysters, Ten Tables, etc.) and Haley Fortier (Sportello). At the December event, they'll be serving up an Asian porchetta sandwich with spicy green papaya slaw, and a "yamwich" will be available for vegetarians. $20 tickets are available for seatings at half-hour increments from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and once you're done eating, head to the heated tent outside, which will be filled with 90s hip-hop, as well as "mirth, merriment, fun, frivolity, and games." Also, mulled apple cider will be available for purchase. Hats and mittens are encouraged, as are ugly holiday sweaters.
Follow @HustleCatBoston on Twitter to keep an eye on the duo's antics and upcoming plans.
