Boston Restaurant Talk cites a tweet this afternoon from @NorthEndBoston which alleges that California-based chain Peet's Coffee & Tea, in the hands of a German holding company since 2012, wants to replace North End pub Goody Glover's at 48-50 Salem Street. An abutters session will be held at the restaurant on October 20 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss the proposal.
Peet's currently operates several cafes in the Boston area, with plans for more in the imminent future.
UPDATE, 10/10/14: Boston Restaurant Talk cites a Facebook post from Goody Glover's confirming that the 11-year-old restaurant is indeed closing at the end of October.
