Bravo leaked an extended clip today of the 75-minute opener of Top Chef in Boston(see below). Top Chef: All Stars champ Richard Blais joins veteran judges Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons, Hugh Acheson and host Padma Lakshmi for season 12 of the Emmy Award-winner.
"Competing on Top Chef was the most difficult thing I've ever had to do in my life— twice— but the rewards are enormous. Since I've been standing where you are, I've opened up seven restaurants, I'm a James Beard nominee. You have the ability to dramatically change your career and your life," Blais counsels the new crop of cheftestapants before a Sudden Death Quickfire.
Just how Boston will the new season of Top Chef get? Chefs "will go knife-to-knife at iconic Boston locales including Fenway Park, Plimoth Plantation, and The Bull and Finch Pub." One challenge will use "only ingredients that would have been on hand at the first Thanksgiving meal" and will take place under the Green Monster. Boston’s police and fire departments will get some love as well.
