The Varano Group will finally get it together and open another iteration of Strega Pizzeria and Cafe sometime in the next month or so on Hanover Street. This all comes some 15 months after the initial announcement.
It looks like a solid bet for the North End this time. Varano attorney William Ferullo "told the Boston Licensing Board today he expects Strega Pizzeria and Cafe, 371 Hanover St., to be operating in about 30 days," writes Universal Hub.
Why did it take Nick Varano and co. so long to make good on the Board's beer-and-wine license transfer? Kitchen vent snafus, apparently.
