After 11 years as the North End's only true Irish pub, Goody Glover's will close for good at the end of Halloween night, as reported by the Dig. The neighborhood pub is moving out after increased rents forced owner Dan McMyler to sell. A new location of Peet's Coffee & Tea will take over the prime space.
As McMyler told the Dig, Goody Glover's will be remembered as a place with "No lines, no live bands and no gimmicks. Just a real neighborhood bar to have a quiet beer and talk with someone."
