The planned Wagamama expansion to 320 Summer Street in Fort Point has fallen through, reports Boston Restaurant Talk, although it is seeking other options. The London-based, Japanese-inspired noodle chain has locations around the world but only four in the United States, all in Massachusetts (two in Boston, one in Cambridge, and one in Lynnfield). Expansion to other states will happen "in the coming years," according to Wagamama's website. The chain was founded in 1992 and opened its first local outpost at Quincy Market in 2007.
