As progress continues on the new restaurant which will occupy the former Chez Henri space, its owners have applied to shift the name, originally intended to be Foret, to Shepard, according to an updated report on Boston Restaurant Talk that cites recent licensing notes.
Former Upstairs on the Square chef Susan Regis and Rene Becker of Hi-Rise Bread Company are behind the project, which will now apparently take its name from its location at 1 Shepard Street, between Porter Square and Harvard Square in Cambridge. As previously reported, the restaurant is expected to be "French in spirit."
