HUB-WIDE — Boston Magazine unleashed its yearly "50 Best Restaurants" list today, with O Ya topping the list, followed by Uni, Ribelle, Asta, and T.W. Food. A companion feature, "Inside the 50 Best Restaurants," examines spices at Sarma, the music library at Tres Gatos, and more. And "Beyond the 50" highlights some great pastry chefs, "destination dishes," and "prime bar-dining spots" that didn't quite make the cut. [BM]

MALDEN Stock Pot Malden is hosting a grilled cheese throwdown, pitting Roxy's Grilled Cheese against Munch Mobile Kitchen, on Thursday, November 6 at 6:30 p.m. $45 tickets include an appetizer, grilled cheese and sides from each truck, dessert, and two drinks. Munch Mobile Kitchen makes some fun mocktails and sodas, and Aeronaut will be on hand with beer. [Eventbrite]

HUB-WIDE — Prepare for lots of fried chicken. Popeyes plans to add 15 to 20 new Boston-area outposts in the next five years. There are currently eight locations of the fast food chain in the region. [BBJ]
