KENMORE — Island Creek Oyster Bar kicks off the first of its quarterly series Vine Masters this Tuesday as wine director and general manager Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli welcomes author Talia Baiocchi (editor of PUNCH magazine) to celebrate the launch of her highly-anticipated new book A Modern Guide to Sherry. The evening will begin with a raw bar and cocktail reception, followed by a discussion of the book and a four-course dinner during which guests will have a chance to discuss the expertly paired wines with the author and staff. (Reaching Out to Cook with Kids) and Beth Israel Deaconess to host Rock the Boat, a benefit concert featuring chef demos for MAMA’s RevolOceanary Work. BACK BAY — On November 1 Back Bay Harry's and NECN-TV Meteorologist Nelly Carreno will host a Game of Thrones Halloween party to benefit Rosie's Place. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online.
