Bay Village breakfast and sandwich shop Mike & Patty's has temporarily closed and is seeking help via Kickstarter to complete the necessary upgrades to reopen, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. The shop, which opened in 2008 and among other things served up Boston Magazine's Best Breakfast Sandwich, 2014, is looking to install a new fire suppression system required by city code, along with minor improvements to kitchen space and equipment. The Kickstarter campaign will run for one month, with the owners telling Eater, "We hope to be reopened by the end of November or sooner."
