This past summer, longtime Jamiaca Plain favorite Centre Street Cafe closed to undergo a "major renovation" under new ownership. The same team that is behind Tres Gatos, as reported earlier, posted a Facebook message explaining their goals:
"We plan to open with a fresh new look this fall, will continue to offer a similar weekend brunch, and will introduce an entirely new Italian lunch and dinner menu, featuring house-made pasta."
It appears that new look is coming together, as several new photos have been posted to the cafe's Facebook page, showing off the new interior with a note that they are in the final stages of the process. No exact date has been set, but by the looks of the interior that announcement could come sooner rather than later.
