QUINCY — Ariel's Ice Cream & Smoothies, a fairly new ice cream shop in Quincy's Marina Bay, had closed temporarily due to "unresolved contract issues," as reported earlier this week. It has now reopened. [BRT]

NORTH END — The Juicery, a juice and smoothie shop, is now open in the North End in the former DePasquale's Homemade Pasta Shoppe space at 66A Cross Street. [BRT]

ON THE ROAD — The Zinneken's food truck should launch in a "couple weeks,"serving up Belgian waffles. [FB]

UNION SQUARE — Progress is being made at Thunder Road, the music venue slated for the short-lived Radio space in Somerville. The upcoming club now has a Facebook page and promises "live music," "great grub," "killer PA + lighting," and "more." [FB]
