More good news for Somerville's Union Square: a brewery is headed for Tyler Street, near the recently-opened Brooklyn Boulders, reported the Globe in November. Aeronaut Brewing Company (formerly a home-brewing project called TBD Brewing) is moving in, and it will also lease space to several urban agriculture start-ups and a farmer's market. Further down the literal and temporal road, it will eventually provide nearby space for fermentation-related science start-ups as well.
Aeronaut received its federal brewing approval on December 31st and plans to open in the early spring; the team is now working on getting the appropriate permits from the state. It will be the first brewery in Somerville since the 1880s, reports The Somerville Journal.
